The Fyreye MkII optical smoke detectors use a pulsing IR LED & photodiode to detect IR scatter caused by smoke entering the chamber.
The detector is particularly suitable for detecting optically dense smoke, involving materials such as soft furnishings, PVC, plastic, foam and all similar materials which produce small visible particles (0.5 to 10μm). The Fyreye Rate of Rise heat detectors (MKII-HR) use a thermistor arrangement to sense a quick rise in temperature and also a final threshold temperature of 57°C. The Fyreye fixed heat detector (MKII-HF) has a single thermistor arrangement that gives an alarm at a temperature of 90°C.
The LE-SLR-24V can be used in all areas where Photoelectric Smoke detectors are required. The wide range smoke chamber makes the LE-SLR-24V well suited for fires ranging from smoldering to flaming fires. LE-NS-4 Series, LE-NS-6 Series, LE-HSC-4R or LE-HSCxxx R Style bases may be used with the LE-SLR-24V. Current interchangeable/compatible devices are the LESIJ-24 ionization detector, the LE-SLR-24H photoelectric detector with heat sensor, and the LE-dCd-135/190 heat detectors. All LE-NS conventional devices are mechanically compatible with Lifeco LE-HSB, LE-HSC and LE-YBA type bases which may have been used in previous installations.
